Their unique harmony laced style of music, blends the blues with the 50's and folk with the 90's.Couple these ingredients with a dash of comedy, a hint of vaudeville and liberal doses of interactive theatrics, and you begin to understand why every Battersby Concert is delightfully provocative...and so much fun.

As Educators, we all recognize that nothing in the curriculum is more important to a Child's Early Education than those experiences, which reinforce the learning of literacy. Not just reading, but writing, thinking, talking, listening, and creating. All of these skills and concepts are crucial to the educational, psychological, and social well being of the young Student. Efforts to understand, and affirm all students, and to treat their cultural and linguistic backgrounds as valid and important should be reflected in every facet of everyday life.

Winners of 3 Parents Choice Awards and an Emmy, The Battersby Duo is considered to be one of the finest Musical Comedy Teams for Children and Families in the USA today. Performing to more than 27 Kids each year, Tim and Laura tour Nationally, appearing in Theatres, Schools, Festivals, TV and Radio. They've performed at The Kennedy Center, The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Wolf Trap's Theatre in the Woods, The Marcus Center in Milwaukee, The Filene Center, The Spoleto Festival in Charleston SC, Sesame Street, The Today Show on NBC, and have appeared at The White House 6 times, performing for The President and First Lady. They have written more than 400 songs in their 30 year career. Tim is also the composer for the movie "The Last Chance," .

In the past 30 years The BatDuo have written over 400 songs. Many of them are, as School Library Journal recently noted, goofy wacky and Now that's a shirt whimsical," but they have also composed more serious music for film. In 1978, long before it was "cool to be green" Tim composed the music for an environmental movie entitled The Last Chance. This movie was funded by The Smithsonian Institute, and shown at both The National Zoo and the San Diego Zoo for many years. It also aired on ABC in the summer of 1979

What a lovely video this is. It has to be one of my favorite on the entire website and I am not normally one for anything but aircraft videos. I recently fell in love with a girl with spina bifida and found this video soon after and it made me cry. What an inspiration this young girl is to us all, able bodied or not.

this is a really awesome video and song, my having a few friends with spina bifida makes life a bit more interesting, as it opens a whole new set of windows, thanks for what you do and keep doing it

Hey thanks for the video I am eighteen and I have a cousin with spina Bifida who is six years old. He has lived with me for almost a year. His mom pasted away from cancer. I was the only one in the family capable of handling and caring for him because i am financially stable and each day I learn more about it and he keeps a smile on my face
