(G)But sometimes when I fed her, I'd (C)feel like such a fool,
(D)She’d look at me across her plate, and(D7) give a great big (G) Moo.

(G)Now people from all over ,(C) loved our Buttercup,
(D)The best darn Cat that's ever lived, but (D7) one day she got (G) stuck.
(G) A Veterinary friend of mine came,(C) rushing to the scene,
(D) Said," Gosh that Cats a bovine, a (D7) regular milk (G) machine."

Well he ,(C) scratched his head and looked at me, said, (G) "Buttercups' a Cat?"
(A7) "In all my years I've never seen a feline quite this (D) fat."
(C) "If I'm not mistaken your (G) Buttercup's a Cow,
(A7) For if she were a Kitty Cat, you (D) know she'd go(G) Meow."

(G)Well I must admit that I was just a, (C) trifle bit confused;
(D)Misguided though I was, I did (D7) believe that Cats go(G) Moo.
(G) I thought that Cows they went meow and, (C) Rabbits sometimes growl,
(D) But I was flabbergasted when I (D7) learned my Cat's a (G) Cow.

(C) Well that Veterinary friend of mine was (G) really pretty cool;
(A7)He enrolled my two-ton feline, in a bovinary (D) school.
(C) Now Buttercups much better, (G) she has her PHD:
